Instructor: Michelle Henderson, Seams Like Quilting

Colors, colors, colors! What goes with what? There are so many choices. Build on your color knowledge and join us on Jan 30 from 1-3 for a conversation together about color in quilting. You’ll get a chance to see quilts using different color theory, practice selecting fabric for a quilt of your own building knowledge and confidence for your next quilt!

What is a Skill Building Class?

At Seams Like Quilting, we want your only limit to be your imagination!

As a set of skills, quilting is much like cooking. We can work from a recipe (pattern) and often do. But once in awhile, dinner just needs to get on the table. So we rely on foundational skills, dig around in the pantry, and bring something together. Knowing how to cook is about more than following a recipe. And knowing how to quilt is the same. Often, we avoid patterns we like because they use techniques we’re uncomfortable with. Our skill building class series is about introducing those techniques. We never know what our next favorite skill will be!!

Skills Used/Learned in this class:

Color wheel basics
Contrast and coordinating colors
Seeing past the fabric design to make great selections

We welcome you to our classes! Classes run with a minimum of 3 people and a maximum of 6. No machine or notions required. If you have small design board, bring that along. No refunds are given unless cancelled by the shop. Communication of class status will be via email.

*All fabric cut from bolt priced and sold in quarter yard increments. For 1 yard, please set quantity at 4.
